The “black wines” of Cahors are based on the Malbec grape and are generally more rustic than the fruity, almost sweet Malbec wines of Argentina. This bottling shows wild, brambly fruit, white pepper, smoke, and herbaceous notes with just a touch of that Old World funk. A great wine for wild game or cured meats and aged cheeses.
